Janet Gaynor Carter Eaton of Shenandoah was born July 8, 1932, and went to be with The Lord on June 22, 2017 in Conroe Texas.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Warner Carter and Era Katherine Carter, brothers in law John Bennett, Jr. and Ronald Orr. She leaves her husband of 64 years, Rev Paul Eaton and their four children; daughters Paula Smith and her husband Charles Smith, Peggy Todd and her husband Mark Todd, Patty Phillips, son; Perry Eaton and fiancee Rhonda Duke. 2 sisters; Elizabeth Bennett and Maxine Orr. Paul and Janet have 13 grandchildren and with their spouses they have 22 great-grandchildren. Janet was born in Silver Valley, Texas but was most notable raised in Pasadena, Texas where she came to know the Lord and met Paul Eaton. She graduated from Pasadena High School and got married to Paul by the age of 20. They started their family and Janet went to work, raising kids, working at area secretarial jobs, assisting her husband through college while being the model pastor's wife. Janet faithfully followed her husband's call to ministry as they moved throughout the state serving the Lord. Janet worked most notably as the secretary to the Superintendent of Schools at North Zulch ISD. Janet was a loving wife and mother, a Godly example of Christian Faith and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life service will take place at First Baptist Church Willis, 12177 Interstate 45 North, Willis Texas 77378 under the direction of McNutt Funeral Home of Conroe, Texas. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with memorial services starting at 2:00. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to FBC Willis.
