Mark Daigle Obituary

Mark Allan Daigle, Sr. joined his Lord on June 4th, 2021 while at home in Willis, Texas.

Mark was born on May 28, 1962 in Baytown, Texas to Charles Louis Daigle and Annette Lemmon Daigle, who preceded him in death. After the family moved to Jefferson, Texas, a teenaged Mark wore many hats in the local community, including in the grocery store, the feed store, the Excelsior House Hotel, and Daigle Construction.

Mark attended the University of Texas before starting a thriving and fulfilling career in homebuilding. He spent the majority of his homebuilding career with Tilson Homes, before starting M. Daigle Custom Homes, his own custom homebuilding business. He spent his entire life maintaining a passion for building homes for the communities that he lived in; for some time, he acted as Vice President of Codes and Standards of the Greater Houston Homebuilding Association. He had a stellar reputation in the homebuilding community for "doing things right" for his clients and turning their visions into reality. He took great pride in his craftsmanship, and it meant a lot to him to help people live in their dream homes.

Mark was a man of strong faith and an active member in the Catholic community by way of his church, St. Joseph's in New Waverly, Texas.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Josette Daigle, whom he married on April 17th, 1993. He is also survived by son Mark Allan Daigle, Jr. and daughter-in-law Ashly Michelle Daigle and granddaughter Madilyn Grace Daigle; daughter Amy Janell Itzel, along with son-in-law Brandon Michael Itzel and granddaughters Juliet Elise Itzel and Alison Kate Itzel; son Adam Lee Daigle and daughter-in-law Nadine Ona Daigle; sister Elizabeth Anne Dickson and family; brother Charles Louis Daigle, Jr. and family; and beloved pets Purl, Bounce, and Biscuit.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas followed by a traditional Rosary Service. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in New Waverly, Texas. Mark will be laid to rest at the family plot on June 12, 2021 at 1 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas.

Mark's family extends its gratitude to all the relatives, friends, and community who have come together and wrapped Mark and his family in loving care and support. Mark was truly humbled by the outpouring of support and expressed his gratitude as well.

I got the chance to meet Mr. Daigle a few months back when he was interviewing me to be an intern for his company. We immediately hit it off, and I knew from the start that he was a great guy. Even though I had only known him for a short time, I consider him to be a mentor and a great friend. My condolences go out to the Daigle family. They will always be in our prayers.
