She is also survived by her faithful canine companion, Zeus. Bert, as we all loved to call her, is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. She was born on July 27, 1960 to William Darsey and Julie Camera in Houston, Texas. Being the only girl with 3 brothers, Roberta had to become a fighter and an exceptional sister. She spent some time in Houston before moving to Conroe, Texas. She graduated from Conroe High School in 1979. She went to school to become an LVN and did home health for babies. She became a mom to Rachael and Denise. She would then meet the love of her life, Jerry. Bert enjoyed spending time with Jerry. They traveled the open roads and took up throwing horseshoes. She was the state champion in horseshoes in 2010. Their best times were spending time with the grand babies, family and friends. Bert also enjoyed cooking for family gatherings. Her favorite time of year was Christmas. She was always there with a smile and a hug for all. No one was a stranger to her. Her smile was contagious. She would brighten all the darkest corners of the world. She was a strong but loving person. She would fight for all but with a caring heart. Services will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home on Rankin Road at 10:00 am on Tuesday September 21, 2021. A viewing will be held at the same location on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
