Danny Wesley Burton Sr., 68, of Dover, died Saturday, July 12, 2025, at his home.
Visitation with his family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Humphrey Funeral Chapel. Cremation arrangements provided by the J. Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
The son of Henry Burton and Jewell Dean (Jenkins) Dosier, Danny was born January 2, 1957, in Stockton, California. He married Kasandra Jean (Jackson) Burton, on June 1, 2000, in South Lake Tahoe, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Lucille Burton; a great grandson he affectionately called his "angel baby," Marcello Reyes; and a brother, David Burton, Sr.
He is survived by a large and loving family that includes his wife of 24 years, Kasandra; three daughters: Michelle Reyes (Paul), Amy Montenegro (Carlos) both of Stockton, California; and Jewel-Lee Burton (Andrew) of Dover; two sons: Danny Burton, Jr., (Kristina) and Wesley Burton (Destiny) both of Dover; 13 grandchildren: Anthony, Paul Jr., Matthew, Anissa, Carlos Jr., Aubree, Kylee, Brilynn, Drayden, Axel, Aspen, Adlynn and Indi; one great-granddaughter, Karissa; his step-father, Toyoki Matsuda of Stockton; his in-laws, Ernest Jackson (Linda) of Clarksville; and many friends and family members.
Danny was a professional truck driver. His greatest passion in life was his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, racing, and his family. He loved to hang out in his shop and was best known as "a jack of all trades & master of none." Close by his side was his dog, "Frankie." Friends and family loved to be around Danny for many endearing reasons but especially because of his quick wit and great sense of humor. He leaves a life well-lived and a legacy greatly loved and honored. He was one in a million.
