Harold Mohan Appukuttan was born on June 8th, 1958, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He joined his loved ones in heaven on July 18th, 2024.
Harold will always be remembered for his passion for cooking, his love for the Razorbacks, and his constant comedy, particularly his dad jokes.
In 1983, he moved to the United States to pursue studies in Hospitality at the College of the Ozarks. Over the years, he developed a career in catering in Arkansas and Texas. Harold's dedication and skill led him to become a Catering Director, known for his tough personality and demand for perfection.
In 2006, he received a donor kidney from Mrs. Denise Pedigo, a story that would bring tears to your eyes. This gracious act of service extended Harold's life, and doctors were in awe of the lifespan of the donated kidney. Denise has remained involved in Harold and his family's lives throughout the years.
In later years, as Harold's health declined, he chose to work closer to home at Lowe's in Russellville, AR. He continued to work through all of his hospitalizations and always insisted on returning to work after each recovery.
Harold's legacy lives on through his life partner Tina Elaine Docekal; daughters Sasha Sunita Roberson and Surani Kathereen McCullough; grandchildren Kaiden Daniel Roberson and Kehlani Quinn Roberson; siblings Anne Asha Appukuttan, Eileen Latha Schultz, Joy Wilson Appukuttan, and Audrey Nirmala Jacob; his life partner's brother, Tim Docekal; Auntie Josephine Koshy; a host of cousins, aunties, uncles, and of course, his furry friends, Ziva and Zola.
He is predeceased by his parents George and Telsila Appukuttan, and his partner's parents Bonny Jean and Bennie Lee Docekal.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Humphrey Chapel, officiated by Rev. Michael Blanchard. Cremation arrangements are by the J. Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center and Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m.Sunday at the funeral home.
