Margaret Allene Ennis, age 70, of Atkins, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at her home. She was born Feb. 17, 1951, in Russellville; daughter of the late Oscar and Mary Louvina Metz Nelson.
She was a member of Sweet Home Free Will Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary, was very active in church, and worked hard to see that her family and extended family were happy and well taken care of. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was a devoted friend to all she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Mildred Cochran and Darlena Bankhead.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry Ennis; three sons, Jeff and Diann Ennis, Jayme and Barbara Ennis, and Alan Long; grandchildren, Chase, Cody, Clay, Ty and Riley; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Kennedy; and a very special friend, Melinda Burnett.
Funeral services are at noon today at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Ronny Molley, Rev. James Chronister, and Rev. Coy Williams officiating.
Burial is in North New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
Pallbearers are Larry McCoy, Doyle Armesteadt, Ricky Don Johnson, Jason Gibson, Larry Norris and Bro. Coy Williams.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Sweet Home Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in her honor be made to Lemley Funeral Service, PO Box 126, Atkins, AR, 72823, to aid in funeral expenses.
