Patsy Ruth Chance, age 81, of Russellville, died Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born March 21, 1942, in Scottsville to Elmer Odell and Stella Juanita Goates Sanders.
She enjoyed driving a truck with her husband. She loved her grandchildren and her dog, Buddy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Short; two brothers, John Claude Sanders and Elmer Owens Sanders; two sisters, Edith Jewel Sanders and Shirley Laymon; and two grandchildren, Kenneth Scott Cain and Lilly Freeman.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years. Raymond Chance; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmie and Lauri Dotson of Atkins, Bradley Freeman of Atkins and James and Sandra Chance of Hector; five daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Johney McKibbin of Dardanelle, Patsy Condrey of Flippin, Charlene and Terry Hill of Atkins, Marilyn and Johnny Baker of Atkins and Linda and Thomas Stover of Perryville; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Brenda Sanders of Dover; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Stover officiating. Burial will be in Goates Cemetery near Scottsville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the chapel.
