Reba May

Reba M. May, 83, of Russellville, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at her home in Russellville.

She was born on March 14, 1942, in Pottsville, Arkansas, to Claude and Annie Haynes Denney.

A devoted Christian woman, Reba lived her life as a testimony of love, faith, and service. She was a cherished homemaker whose greatest joy came from caring for her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose gentle spirit and steadfast devotion blessed all who knew her.

Reba was a faithful member of Pine Ridge Free Will Baptist Church, where she loved worshiping with her church family. She enjoyed sewing, visiting with friends, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. May; her parents; her son, Marty May; two sisters; and eight brothers.

She is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Kay Martin (Mike) of Russellville, Mechelle Lovejoy of Russellville, and Melissa Phillips of Dardanelle; one son, Michael May of Dardanelle; six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Humphrey Chapel with Rev. Hank Duvall officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville, Arkansas, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
