Shirley Jamell, 79, of Atkins, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the Atkins Nursing and Care Center.
She was born December 27, 1945, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, daughter of the late Maurice and Mary Inez Rankin Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Karen Jean Marks.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Najim Jamell of Pottsville; daughters, Julya Calhoun of Pottsville, and Jana Mitchell (Keith) of Dover; son, Eric Jamell (Carla) of Little Rock; step-daughter, Kayla Sills; nine grandchildren, Kara, David, Cody, Jennifer, Kaci, Lauren, Jessica, Katelyn, and Joshua; four great-grandchildren, Zaiden, Levi, Talula, and Corbett; and numerous other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Lemley Chapel with burial to follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers are Zachary Jamell, David Jennen, Michael Jamell, Joshua Mitchell, Randall Robertson, and Steve McDonald.
