Tommy Kinslow, age 81, of Russellville, died Monday, May 19, 2025, at his home. He was born November 10, 1943, in Russellville, to Thomas Aaron Kinslow and Imogene Johnston.
He was a member of Harmony Grove Freewill Baptist Church. At the age of 19 he moved to California where he learned auto-body. At the age of 23 he moved back to Arkansas and opened up his own Auto Body Shop on Crow Mountain. He also worked for Cogswell Motors doing their auto-body work for a few years. His passion for antique cars presented the opportunity for him to become a member of many local car clubs, including the 1990's Car Club and the Moonlight Cruisers, and received the honors of a truck he built and painted being published in the NSRA Street Scene Magazine. He did body work for 61 years. He received many awards for his talent including the best auto body man being in business the longest in the River Valley years ago at the Russellville Fall Fest.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three infant siblings.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, April and Mark Smith and Erin Kinslow all of Russellville; a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Ray Lloyd of London; eight grandchildren, Skylar Ross (Parrish), Aurora Baker, Annabelle Smith, Aerial Briggs (Richard Jr.), Lilee Kinslow, Mattie Smith, Maezie Smith and Stella Smith; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025, in St. Joe Cemetery in Atkins with the Rev. Dale Bishop officiating under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
