George Crew Obituary
AGE: 85 • Of Medford, NJ
On December 11, 2015, passed from this world into the presence of the One in whose name he placed such trust. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (nee Flickworth). Loving father of Karen Waltemyer (Jonathan) and Linda Auger (John). Devoted grandfather of Jennifer Warner, Catherine Schiersch, Alexander Semple, Amanda Semple and Meghan Semple. Great grandfather of Callie Warner, Ella Warner, Katelyn Heyboer, Victoria Semple, Isobel Schiersch, Grayson Semple, Gabriella Schiersch and Henrik Schiersch. Dear brother of Alena Argentina (Carmen), and Paul Crew (Donna). Predeceased by his brother William Crew. Mr. Crew served in the US Navy during the Korean War on board the USS Jefferson. He worked for Acme Markets for his entire career. Mr. Crew's greatest passion was for foreign missions, and while a member of Shawnee Baptist Church, organized many missions trips. More recently, he was active at Bethel Baptist Church in Cherry Hill. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation 6-8pm Tuesday, December 15, 2015 and 9-10am Wednesday, December 16, 2015, and to the Memorial Service 10am Wednesday, all at Bethel Baptist Church, 1704 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08003. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Program or to Shepherds Ministries, 1805 15th Ave., Union Grove, WI 53182.

To the family, My husband and I attended Shawnee Baptist Church during the last years George and Ellie attended. We were blessed to join them at the wonderful Wed. evening prayer meetings with the special emphasis on Missions. We just heard about George's homegoing tonight so obviously were unable to attend any services. We rejoice with you in knowing that our goodbyes are not final and we look forward to a joyous reunion in heaven. Praying for God's comfort for you all.

Karen, Linda and family,
Mike and I are sending all our thoughts, prayers and love to you. Your parents were such special, wonderful people to Mike when he was growing up and he has been so thankful they were in his life. Their actions and deeds always brought glory to God. I was only able to meet and be with them a few times over the years, but you did not have to be around them long to see the love of God in them and the preciousness of their faith. Dad Crew made strong and lasting impressions in our lives and we are so thankful to have known him. So sorry for your loss but knowing what a homecoming this is for them.
