Helen Shone Obituary
Pitman - Helen Elizabeth Bullock Shone, age 90, died on February 21, 2019. Born and raised in Cross Keys, NJ, Helen was the youngest of five children born to Frank and Edith Bullock. Helen was a resident of Pitman, NJ for over 30 years, and took great pride in her lifetime calling as a "domestic engineer". She and her late husband, Howard, moved to the Old North State Community in New London, NC in 1992. While Helen lived in Pitman, she was a member of the Pitman United Methodist Church and after moving to North Carolina, she was a member of the Macedonia Methodist Church in Lexington, NC.
She was preceded in death in 2012 by her husband of 65 years Howard "Cookie" Shone and her granddaughter, Katherine Grimshaw. She is survived by her children: Eileen Shone Grimshaw and husband Steven of Richwood, NJ; Thomas James Shone and wife Andrea of Mocksville, NC; Susann Shone Griffith and husband David of Monroeville, NJ; Judith Shone-Tamaska and Wayne of Glassboro, NJ; and, Jennifer-Bullock Shone and husband Daniel Jaramillo of Fort Mill, SC. Helen was a proud grandparent to Joshua, Melissa and Joel Grimshaw; Luke and Jonathan Griffith; Noah and Caleb Tamaska; and Finn Jaramillo. She celebrates in the joy of eight great grandchildren.
Friends may greet the family on Monday after 9:30am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.

I have so many happy memories of Aunt Helen over the years. She set a fine example of strength and grace. I picture Uncle Cookie welcoming her into heaven and saying " Would you like to dance, Pretty Lady"?
