James "Jim" Rodney Marvel

AGE: 99 • Pitman

James "Jim" Rodney Marvel died peacefully at the Pitman Manor on October 9 at the age of 99. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he lived in New Jersey for the remainder of his life. Jim worked for Curtis Publishing Co. for many years, owned his own printing company and was later employed by Philip Morris. Jim served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Among his interests and hobbies, dancing, fishing, and gardening were his favorites.

Husband of the late Anne Burke Marvel, he is survived by his son, James Charles Marvel (wife Barbara); his grandson, James Macauley Marvel (wife Kathryn); his daughter Donna Williams (husband David), his granddaughter Olivia Webster; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday from 10am to 11am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment Manahath Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.
