John T. Banks, Sr. of Voorhees passed away on 12/6/11. He leaves to cherish one daughter, Barbara Ann Timmons, two sons, John T. Banks, Jr. and Ronald Banks, two sisters, Mildred Banks McCollum & Eleanor Wayman, one brother, Kenneth Banks, one daughter-in-law, Portia Banks & one grandson, Blake Banks. John Banks, Sr. was a superior athlete who played in the Negro National League, and also Barn-stormed with baseball greats such as Jackie Robinson and Satchel Paige. Dear John, Please know we send our deepest condolences in the lose of your dear father. Mr.Banks was an extraordinary and well respected man in the community. In my teenage years I can remember Mr. Banks as a gentleman. The Peterson family would like you to know that we will keep your family in prayer and he is resting in the Lord. May God bless you.
