John Howarth Obituary

On July 19 2004 age 80 a resident of Haddonfield for more than 50 years husband of the late Alene (nee Musselman).
Survived by 2 daughters Nancy H. Martin and her husband Thomas of Newark DE and Gail H. Wallace and her husband Craig of Mt. Laurel and 2 grandchildren Wendy & Kevin Wallace.
Mr. Howarth was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He was awarded a Bronze Star a Silver Star and a Purple Heart. He was a Charter Member of the Carney Point Fire Company. John was an active member of the Haddonfield Fire Co. # 1 for over 50 years and served as the Fire Chief for 17 years. Additionally he was a member of the American Legion Post #38 Haddonfield and the Haddonfield Masonic Lodge.
The Family will receive friends Thursday 9-11 AM at KAIN-MURPHY FUNERAL SERVICES West End Ave. at Kings Hwy. Haddonfield; where his Service will follow at 11AM. Interment private. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Haddonfield Fire Co. #1 or to Haddonfield Ambulance Assn. both at PO Box 345 Haddonfield NJ 08033.
