Alan Shavitz Obituary
Evansville - Alan Darryl Shavitz, age 85, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday, February16, 2021.
Alan was born February 2, 1936, in Evansville, IN, to Emanuel Shavitz and Gertrude (Mack) Shavitz. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1954. Alan then went to graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a BS in 1959. He was a member of SIGMA ALPHA MU Fraternity. He was the owner of Marshal Glove and Safety Supply Company. He was a member of Temple Adath B'Nal Israel and the Evansville Hog Club.
Alan is survived by his wife, Stella Shavitz; daughter, Allison Blomdahl (Kenny); sons, Gregory Shavitz (Lauren), Adam Zane (Stephanie), Mark Aguilar (Pamela); sister, Marsha Cohen Malat; grandchildren, Trent, Taryn, Erin, Dani, De'lamor, Brooke; and great-grandchild, Macy, ALL from Los Angeles, CA.
Alan is preceded in death by his parents.
A Private Family Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Jewish Cemetery.
There will be no Funeral Home Visitation.
Arrangements are being handled by BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL - A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN.
