Donald "Duck" Parson, 76, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at his home.

Don was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 11, 1949, to the late Ralph and Geneva (Sparks) Parson. Don was a graduate of North High School and honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He spent many years working at Parsons Food Sales and as a truck driver for Farm Boy. Don was a member of Crosswalk Fellowship Church. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and could often be found spending time in his barn. Don was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. His greatest joy was being a grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Don is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia (Brumley) Parson of Evansville, IN; daughters, Tracy Chappell (Steve) of Boonville, IN, Kimberly Mayes (Jason) of Evansville, IN, and Lyric Harlan of Evansville, IN; sons, Matthew Parson (Kaylan) of Evansville, IN, Jeromy Harlan (Jessica) of Henderson, KY, and Jason Russell (Dawn) of OH; sister, Mary Jane Smith (Phil) of SC; brothers, Ronnie Parson of Evansville, IN and Stanley Parson (Debbie) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Emily, Lukas, Seth, Lauren, Kiersten, Summer, Raylynne, Marrisa, Brooklyn, Nia, Kaydon, Mason, Dillon, Justin, Breanna, Mckenzie, Madolyn and Mady; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ralph Herbert Parson.

Funeral services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
