Glenn Parson

Glenn Parson, 100, of West Finley, died on Monday, February 16, 2026, in the Transitions Healthcare, Washington. He was born August 6, 1925, in Moundsville, W.Va. a son of the late Thomas Leslie and Della Mae Riggle Parson and resided in Richhill Township, Greene County, since 1936. Mr. Parson was a member of the former Nebo United Methodist Church. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and fishing, as long as his health permitted. Mr. Parson was employed as a well tender by the Columbia Gas Corporation for approximately 43 years prior to retiring in 1990 and was a member of the Columbia Gas Quarter Century Club. On November 22, 1947, he married Mary June Cole who died October 14, 2000. Surviving are two sons, Rick (Marilyn) Parson of Claysville and Tom (Nellie) Parson of West Finley; five grandchildren: Doug (Vickie) Parson, Stephanie (Adrian) Scheeren, Stacy (Dan) Hirst, Amy and Amanda Parson; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Dale (Pauline) Parson of Canton, Ohio; and a sister, Maxine Hewitt of Waynesburg. Deceased, in addition to his wife and parents, are a son, Michael Parson; a grandson, Christopher Wayne Parson; two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Parson; and two sisters, Mary Yost and Lucille Whipkey. Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m., until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, with the Reverend David Lake officiating, at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., Rogersville. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
