Mona Ervin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Browning Funeral Home - Evansville on Mar. 15, 2026.
Mona Ann (Bartlett) Ervin, 75, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.

Mona was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 30, 1950, to the late Clarence "Cotton" and Mary Lou(Clark) Bartlett. She was a graduate of Central High School and worked in Human Resources at Target for 40 years. Mona enjoyed going to the casino and traveling with her family. She was also an avid reader, liked to play Bingo, and loved animals - especially Dachshunds. Mona had a passion for flowers and enjoyed tending to the flower beds in her yard. Mona had a girly side. She always made sure to have her nails painted, make-up done, and her jewelry and perfume on. She will be deeply missed, but always remembered for her wit and sense of humor.

Mona is survived by her daughter, Christy Disney (Keith Floyd) of Evansville, IN; son, Kenny Ervin (Sean McDonald) of San Francisco, CA; grandson, Zachery Disney (Kayley); extended family, Cassie Bretzinger, and Michael Floyd; and great-granddaughter, Alivia Bretzinger.

Mona was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Ervin, and her parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711. Burial will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.

The family would like to especially thank Envive Healthcare for their compassionate care.
