Barry Teems, 47, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Deaconess.
He was born April 11, 1968, in Ellijay, Ga. He enjoyed music, sing-a-longs, arts and crafts and working puzzles at Evansville ARC Training Center.
Graveside services 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2016, in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel. www.AlexanderEastChapel.com.

I think that I worked with Barry for a semester when he was about 5, as part of a college group; he lived then at a large residence in Northville, MI. At that time he couldn't hold much of a conversation, but I remember him as always welcoming and receptive to our visits. Barry taught me much more than I ever taught him. I am glad to read this and know of some of the things he enjoyed in life.
