Carolyn & I go back to maybe 3rd grade Lodge School, then Bosse High. She lived on Lodge and I lived on Riverside. . we shared a special friendship and when we would come home from one of our military assignments, I would always clean her over! Funny stuff you remember. Our children palled around together when Ron was in Thailand ..it was a fun year. Our condolences to all of the family that we watched grow up. She was sweet and kind and cared about people. RIP.

Carolyn was probably my first friend. She lived a street behind me. A large field with very tall grass separated our houses. We played "jungle" in that field, pulling up grass to clear different spaces for our adventures. Sometimes we were the jungle people and sometimes we were the animals. We traveled unseen all over that field.

My mother saved a lot of her old clothes and let Carolyn and I play dress-up. We wore ridiculous hats and tripped over the skirts because they were so long and giggled a lot. We were practically inseparable.

It was a lot of fun seeing her at class reunions to relive those memories and laugh at ourselves. I treasure those memories.

I make it a practice to check the obituaries for Evansville since I live so far away. I am very sad this morning, but also rejoice because I know she is with Jesus. My prayers for strength during this trying time are with you her family.
