Clifford Busing Obituary

Clifford Busing, 85, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2008, at his residence. He was born October 6, 1923, in Gibson County, Ind.

Clifford was a sergeant for the U.S. Marine Corp serving in World War II.

He was a master carpenter and a member of Local 290 Carpenters Union. He was also a 52-year member of the Westside Nut Club and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

Clifford was an avid NASCAR fan, a football enthusiast, and he loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Beverly Busing of Evansville; son, Mike Busing and wife, Becky, of Boonville, Ind.; daughter, Pat Pezzella of Oxford, Mass.; daughter, Debbie Busing of Peoria, Ill.; grandchildren, Mike II, Jeremy, Joe, and Jarrett Busing and Katherine Pezzella; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at Alexander Memorial Park, Memorial Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, with burial to follow. Friends may visit 2 to 8 p.m. today at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to service time at the cemetery chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess Hospice, 600 Mary Street, Evansville, IN 47747. Condolences may be made online at www.mem.com. Arrangements by Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street.
