Donald L. Tungate, 73, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012, at his home. He was born November 19, 1938.
Don was an engineer for 28 years with Southern Railroad.
He was a member of the Evansville Athletic Club.
Don was a life-long Cardinal fan and an excellent woodworker.
Don is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol (Flaherty) Tungate; daughters, Michelle (Tungate) Shapuras (Tom) and Robin Tungate Myers; son, Kevin Tungate (Kim); daughter, Lisa (Tungate) Siddons (Dave); sons, Kerry Tungate and Keith Tungate (Tammy); grandchildren, Nicole Jarrell, Jodi Whitted, Brittany and Zach Siddons, Ryan and Tyler Tungate, Lauren and Haley Cardwell, Clay and Keri Tungate, Dana, Sydney, Hannah, Kameryn, and Kirstyn Tungate; six great grandchildren; nephews, Mark, Matt and Chris McEvilly and niece, Trisha McEvilly.
Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Alexander North Chapel. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
