Glenn Wetzel, 91, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Miller's Merry Manor in Rockport, IN.

Glenn was born April 25, 1926 in Buffaloville, Indiana to the late Carl and Amanda (Sumners) Wetzel.

He graduated from Dale High School in 1944 and on June 23, 1951 he married Betty Louise Esterline of Rockport, IN. It was there over the next 66 years together they raised 4 sons, and built many long lasting friendships.

Glenn served honorably in the United States Army Air Corp and the United States Navy during WWII. He also spent 43 years working after the service with Whirlpool Corporation, retiring in 1988.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Cecil, Gene, Harold, Bill, Joe Alan "Tiny", Benny, and Jack; infant sister, Irene; and granddaughter, Wendy.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Wetzel; sons, Wayne Wetzel and his wife Krinda of Rockport, IN; Dennis Wetzel of Rockport, IN.; Ernie Wetzel of New Smyra Beach, FL.; Jim Wetzel and his wife Myra of Evansville, IN.; grandchildren, Melissa, Kathryn, Jeremy, Logan, Megan, and Erin; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, William, Dylan, Andrew, Chase, Savannah, Christian, Carter,and Bradlee; brother, Mack Wetzel; sisters, Ruth Ann, Nina Lee, Josie, and Alice; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1PM Friday, March 2, 2018 at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, IN. with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday March 1, 2018 from 5-8PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, and/or Miller's Merry Manor.
