Jacob Gill, 46, of Evansville, passed away November 3, 2018, at his home. He was born July 11, 1972 in Breese, IL to Stanley Gill and the late Polly Jo (Kennet) Cortelloni.
Jacob was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He received his degree from Oakland City University and from ITT. He worked at BWX Technologies, INC. for 15 years. Jacob enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, and watching the St. Louis Blues hockey team.
Jacob is survived by his son, Nathaniel Gill of Charleston, SC; daughter, Megan Gill of Evansville; girlfriend, Erin Culver of Evansville; father, Stanley Gill of St. Louis, MO; brothers, Daniel (Natalie) Cortelloni of Mt. Vernon, IN,and Phil (Aaron Laxton) Gill of St. Louis, MO; sister, Lindsay (Brian Tucker) Gill of St. Louis, MO; step father, Gary (Melanie) Cortelloni of Centralia, IL.
Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2018, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 First Ave. Evansville. A Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 pm with Reverend Tim Garrett officiating.

His passing is honestly hard to comprehend. Jake was such a positive and quick-witted guy. I have so many great memories with Jake and he will deeply missed. Nate and Megan, sorry I could not be there in attendance but I am certainly thinking of you and your family. It will be tough going forward but keep your head up and live life how your father would have wanted you to.
Godspeed to you my friend and see you on the other side.

Sorry to hear of Jacob's passing, I would like to offer my sincere condolences to his family. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, and that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. In the days to come may you find comfort in that hope.
