Jeff Junkman, 44, of Evansville passed peacefully in his home on Saturday, December 1, 2012. He was born on December 4, 1967 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Jeff was first and foremost a family man who spent all of his free time with his wife and sons. Jeff was an active, loving Husband and Daddy, who enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his son Maxwel, building Legos with his son Mason, and boating with his family. Jeff also enjoyed spending time at home with his family's five four legged babies. You could often find him working out with his wife Michelle at the gym or volunteering at his sons schools.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Michelle (Fisher) Junkman; his sons, Maxwel (13) and Mason (8) Junkman; mother Nancy Haviland and father Kenneth Junkman both of IA; his sisters Vicki Elmore (Joe) of NC; Laura Burke (Greg) of IN; and brother Dan Junkman of SC; He also leaves many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012, from noon - 3:30 p.m. at First Christian Church, 2845 Beaumont Dr.,Evansville. Service will follow at 3:30 pm, with Reverend Jerry Clark. Burial will be private. Donations for the family can be made at Heritage Federal Credit Union in a Memorial account for the Junkman family. Boone Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville is handling arrangements. Condolences may be made at boonefuneralhome.net.

Sad to say, but It has been years since I last saw cousin Jeff, but it seems like just last weekend that I saw him at one of our Junkman Gatherings while growing up in Good Ol' Manson, Iowa, Great Memories Forever... :) My thoughts and Prayers go out to everyone and I send my deepest sympathies.

Uncle Jeffy, my heart hurts so much. I'm so thankful for every second I've had with you. You have always been there for me, but I wish I had more. I always will. So many memories...if Jeff and my brother Roy weren't getting into trouble they were taking something apart. I remember Jeff and Roy making me sit in the backseat of Jeff's monte carlo (I think) on the way to school while they played ACDC Hells Bells the whole way. When Jeff wasn't picking on me he was always nice and funny. I wish we could be with you today as you say good-bye to wonderful person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

JEff i will miss you. it was just friday when i saw you and i saw you hurt your legs my last words to you were ill be praying for that leg. and you giggled. you were a great father not only to your sons but a father to the community of children at harper and washington and probably your neigborhood as well. Michelle and you were a great team. yall popped some great popcorn for us haper children and staff. you helped out where ever you could like cleaning up all the popcorn off the floor from indoor recess in the gym. you had such incredible haulk muscles but we know you had such a sweet personality and wouldnt hurt a fly lol.
