Paul Prior Obituary
Evansville, Ind.
Paul W. "Bill" Prior Jr., 72, of Evansville, Ind., passed away at 11:30 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017, at his home.
Bill was born April 25, 1945, in Evansville, Ind., to Paul William Prior Sr. and Marian (Harlow) Prior. After his high school graduation, Bill proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He attended Indiana University, Parsons College, and Indiana State University which prepared him for his career in banking. Bill worked for Amax Coal, Union Federal, and was a professional musician playing the guitar. In his free time, he loved to play golf and also played in several Monday Senior Tour Qualifiers. Bill was very proud of his one, hole-in-one.
He is survived by his parents; his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Prior; and several cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Allen Prior.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville, with Chaplain Tom Hubachek officiating. The Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans will also be rendering full military rites. Burial will be private in South Mound Cemetery, New Castle, Ind.
Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Heritage Hospice, 1202 W Buena Vista Rd # 107, Evansville, IN 47710, or Vanderburgh County Humane Society, 400 Millner Industrial Dr, Evansville, IN 47710.
