Rena Atherton Obituary

Rena Louise Atherton, 91, died departed this world surrounded by loving family at Gardenview Care Center in O'Fallon, Missouri on September 12, 2010. Rena has lived Defiance, Missouri for the past 7 years.
Rena is preceded by her husband Robert Manuel Atherton, son Melvin B. Atherton and her parents John and Ella Thomasson and by two brothers Rethal Melvin and Henry A. Thomasson.
Rena is survived by two sons and two daughters. James C. Atherton (Sally Neal) Hatfield, Ind. Sherman Terry Atherton (Judy) St. Clair, Mo. Gladys Faye Brock (Frank) of Defiance, Missouri and Eloise Wolf ( William J.) of Tinton Falls, New Jersey. She is survived by 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
The viewing will be held Saturday at Hatfield Bethal Church, from 12 to 2 p.m. with Services at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Jim Williams officiating. Burial will be in the James Parker Cemterey in Hatfield.
Lieu of flowers make a donationt to the James Parker Cemterey. in Luce Township, Spencer County, Indiana

This women was a phenomenal daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Throughout her life she taught us all how to be strong compassionate people. She is dearly missed by us all.
Though she has departed us physically she will live eternally in our hearts and memories.
Grandma your spirit will be with us always. Love your granddaughter Rena Faye Atherton
