Robert R. Seib, 81, of Richland, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Hancock Regional Hospital, Hospice Center.
Robert was born in Richland, Indiana on October 22, 1935 to the late Walter T. and Helen (Tepool) Seib.
He was a member of St. Rupert Catholic Church and past president of the Parish Council. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Robert retired from ALCOA after more than 30 years of service. He was also a member of the National Wood Carvers Association.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Seib, Harold Joe Seib, Fred Seib, Tom Seib, Mary Jane Metzger, Dorothy Head; Daughter-in-law, Natalie Seib.
Robert is survived by his wife, Joyce (Daming); Children, Harold R. Seib and his wife, Heather of Greenfield, IN; James W. Seib of Martinsville, IN; Grandchildren, Lauren Ruth, Leah Rebecca, Landon Robert; Siblings, Doris Higginbottom and her husband, Charles of Rockport, IN; Sondra Hibbs of Owensboro, KY; Many extended family and friends.
Visitation is from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. Sunday, February 12, 2017 and from 8 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. Monday at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana. Rosary will be said at 7 P.M.
Services are 10 A.M. Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport, Indiana with Father Ron Kreilein and Father Lowell Will officiating. Burial is in St. Rupert Catholic Church Cemetery in Red Brush, Indiana. The Rockport American Legion Post 254 will conduct military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rupert Catholic Cemetery and St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.

To Joyce and family I can only tell you how sorry I am for your loss and how sad I am to hear about Bob. I have only good memories of him. A good man with a great family. I always was happy to see him and talk. As always I wish I could have spent more time around him. I'll think of him and your family often and always cherish the memories. God Bless you.
