Ruth Derr Obituary
Boonville, IN.
Ruth Anne Derr, 87, passed away Tues. Sept.1, 2015 at her residence in Boonville.
She was Born Nov.7, 1927 in Evansville to Walter and Berthabelle (Floyd) Maier who preceded her in death.
Ruth Anne was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church.
She retired as part owner of Vernon Corporation. She was a former member of Tri-Kappa, Rolling Hills Country Club and Boonville Country Club.
She enjoyed playing bridge and loved being with her family and friends.
Ruth Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Derr Sr. in 2013.
Surviving are her children; Karen Haugh, Diane Silke (Jack Vickery), Joe (Terri) Derr Jr. 6 grandchildren; Rob Siegel, Scott (Missy) Silke, Deena (Ross) Rinehart, Patrick (Lisa) Derr, Chris (Brittany) Derr, Nick Derr, ten great grandchildren, one uncle, several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Mass Of Christian Burial 11am Friday, Sept.4 at St. Clement Catholic Church in Boonville with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.
Friends may call Thursday 3-7pm at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel and Friday 10am until service time at the church. A Rosary service will be held at 6:30pm Thursday at the funeral home.
The family wants to thank Fr. Will for his prayers and visits, also Gentive Hospice Staff and all of Ruth Anne's personal caregivers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Ruth Anne may be made to St. Clement Catholic Church Building Fund or Gentiva Hospice.
