Samuel Graves Obituary
Chandler - Samuel "Sam" Lawrence Graves, 70, passed away on January 15, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway. He was born on August 18, 1949 in Evansville, Indiana his parents, the late Russell and Helen (Roth) Graves.
Sam owned and operated Sam's Repair Service for 28 years before retiring in 2011. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles. Sam loved the outdoors, drag racing, fishing and camping. Sam was a very hard worker and could work on, fix or build anything.
Sam is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Wright) Graves of 49 years; children Julie (John) Foster, Mark Tyler, Chad (Myndie) Graves, Bradley Graves; grandchildren; Kayanna, Kevin, Maggie, Gracie, and Aaliyah, Brianna, Avan, and Lilly; several siblings; many nieces and nephews; also Sam's canine companion, his Boxer "Brick".
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents.
Per the family's wishes there will be no services at this time.

We are sad to hear of the great loss of your husband/father. Our son Mike was like a brother to Brad & tried to help him during the illness of your dad/husband. They are like brothers & we prayerfully send our love & want you to know, it is promised by the Almighty Father in Heaven you will see him again when your Someday comes. We lift all of you up in prayer during his funeral. And we pray for strength of Margaret during this loss. Our son is part of your family as Brad is part of ours. They have known each other for years. We send our love & condolences to everyone.

Dear Margaret, Julie, Mark, Chad, and Brad,
My heartfelt condolences to you over the passing of the one and only wonderful Sam! Your family has been so dear to me ever since I met Julie in my Aqua class in the 90s. Then she asked Sam to help me restore the first of three houses over a span of almost 20 years. And so many times one or the other of you would be helping him; you guys not only came into my homes, but also into my heart, where I will think of you all with gratitude and love forever!

I worked with Sam at Hahn Inc. in the late 1960s and he was a great and funny guy to know. Years later I would see him when he came into Boonville Lawn And Garden for equipment rentals and we would always find time to talk.
