Sharon Buckles Obituary
Sharon was an attendant for Visiting Nurses Association. She was formerly employed at Normal Life (Res-Care) assisting clients in a local group home. Sharon was a 1959 graduate of Reitz High School. She was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church, where she helped with their Special Ministries. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family and volunteering at WVHI, Christian Radio Station on Saturday nights.
She is survived by a sister, Linda Thomas and her husband, Charles, of Evansville, Ind.; brothers, Larry Buckles and his wife, Judy, of Evansville, Ind., James Putnam and his wife, Jennifer, of Newburgh, Ind.; and nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by fiance, Earl Heldt; and parents, Henry Augustus and Marie Fern (Harrison) Buckles.
Funeral services are planned for 4 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Rev. Jim Johnson officiating.
Friends may visit from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008 at Browning Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Columbia Healthcare and Southerncare Hospice. Memorial contributions may be made to Paaw's "No-Kill" Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 115, Newburgh, IN 47629.
