Survivivng are his wife, Melinda; daughter, Abbey; mother and stepfather, Mary and Duke Williams; father and stepmother, Robert and Ann Nugent; sisters, Tina James, Sonya Trumbo, Cindy Powers, Lannet Board and Kathy Williams; brothers, Todd and Tommy Simpson, Robert Jr. and Billy Nugent, Eddie Embry and Mike Williams.
He worked for Best Chair in Ferdinand, was the lead singer of the band Silly Rules and was a Navy veteran.
Service 1 p.m. Sunday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, with military rites. Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to service time.
