Can't believe I did not know about your passing, but since we spoke for the first time in years just this spring, I guess it's understandable. Don't spend much time on FB but decided to check in on you today and saw all the condolences. You have always been dear to me even though we went so long without communicating. ...You were my youthful adventure -- me 26, you 21, and we had so much fun. If I could go back in time, I would go out with you again just I could have known the 30 year old you before you were gone. Whether or not you will ever know it, I am sending my warmest thoughts and love to you...

To the Family/friends of Travis,
I knew Travis as a reporter here in Princeton. I'm the Chief Deputy Prosecutor here and Travis seemed to particularly enjoy covering criminal stories. I was always impressed how he "got it" when I read the printed story. I too am an animal lover and will be sending a donation in his memory to the Warrick Humane Society. Please know that many many people here in Princeton were deeply saddened by the news. I have heard over and over the same remarks that he was such a likeable and good person and was always positive and never was down and what a shame someone like Travis was not with us longer. I sincerely agree and feel our little local piece of the world was a better place due to Travis. I am very sorry for your loss.

My sympathy to Travis’s family and friends and to all of us who shared even a small part of his life. There are no words to express the sorrow of losing such a person.

I met Travis when I taught at USI and advised The Shield, the campus newspaper, where he immediately found a place for himself. I knew from the start that he would do great things, and I was right. He touched so many lives with his wit, his intelligence, his kindness, his charm and his amazing smile. I will cherish the memories always.
