Evansville, Ind.
Victor N. Wildt, 89, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital. He was born on October 27, 1923, to the late Walter Wildt Sr. and Augusta Burgdorf Wildt.
Victor was born, raised, and farmed in Union Township. He was a long time member of Salem Church of Darmstadt and the Salem Seniors.
He enjoyed dancing and dining out. His hobby was going to the farm. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Victor is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Herbert Wildt; sisters, Lillian Smoker, Edna Winiger and Marguerite Grisham.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Kuester Wildt; son, Mark Allen Wildt (Arlyss); grandsons, Chad Wildt (Holly) and Shawn Wildt (Dana); great-grandsons, Austin Allen Wildt and Eastin Allen Wildt; sisters, Evelyn Bernard and Helen Thomas; and brother, Walter Wildt Jr., of Etowah, Tenn.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. David Peterson, with burial at Salem Church of Darmstadt Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
