Seth Reece Obituary
Seth Gregory Reece, age 27, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 18, 2025, as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Seth was born on January 10, 1998, in Marion, Ohio, to Stephen and Kimberly (Jackson) Reece. A lifelong resident of Marion, he graduated from both Ridgedale High School and RAMTEC at Tri-Rivers Career Center, where he was an active member of the Robotics Team, National Honor Society, Spelling Bee Champion and the Marching Band. His curiosity and drive for innovation led him to continue his education at the University of Detroit Mercy.
Seth was a man of many passions and talents. He worked in the maintenance department at Motherson US Yachiyo Inc. in Marion, where he was known for his intelligence, problem-solving abilities, and dedication to his work. Outside of work, Seth was a gifted tinkerer and tech enthusiast. Seth found joy in anything electronic, music and the open road. As a lover of music, he recently attended the Sonic Temple Music Festival where he crowd surfed for his first time.
A true creative at heart, Seth enjoyed baking bread and perfecting his homemade cheese-pizza dough recipes to share with his friends and family. He had an adventurous spirit and could often be found riding or working on his motorcycles, cars and truck.
His sharp mind was matched only by his big heart. Seth was generous, kind, and always willing to help others. Whether gaming online with friends, offering tech support to family, or being the best man at Joe and Jennifer's wedding, he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He was funny, loyal, fiercely intelligent, and deeply loved. Those who knew Seth will remember him for his infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, his faith in Jesus, and his unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. Seth spent his final day with us dancing at his best friends wedding, having the time of his life and living life to its fullest.
Seth's faith was rooted in his upbringing at St. Mary Church in Marion, where he was an Altar Server and member of Life-Teen.
Although Seths physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
He is survived by his loving parents, Stephen and Kimberly Reece; his brother, Trent Reece; cousin, Jayden Gaines; grandparents, Frank (Jeneane) Jackson and Barbara Ann Reece; and aunts and uncles, Christine Romine, Craig Reece, Debbie Sue Holler, and Terri Ann Searcy. He will also be dearly missed by countless cousins, friends and extended family members whose lives he touched with his warmth and wit.
