Cindy Edwards Obituary

Paulding - Cindy M. Edwards age 59, of Paulding passed peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband and children.

She was born January 26, 1966, in Paulding, Ohio, the daughter of James and Sandra (Dominique) Johanns. On June 17, 1988, she married Greig Edwards, who survives.

She is a retired teacher of thirty five years at Defiance Elementary Schools and a dynamic 'Omee' to her grandchildren. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Defiance.

She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Edwards and Abbey (Aaron Contreraz) Edwards; two sons, Corbin (Kynsie) Edwards and Evan Edwards; a brother, Doug (Erika) Johanns; seven grandchildren and counting: Darius, Mateo, Ozlo, Emory, Emmanuel, Elyza, and Zoraya.

She is also preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 18 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, of Defiance with Rev. Todd Dominique officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding.

Visitation will be 4pm - 8pm Wednesday, September 17, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m.

Cindy's family requests no flowers or funeral memorabilia, please consider a memorial contribution to the Caring and Sharing Food Pantry.
