Jose Castillo Obituary

BRYAN - Jose Luis Castillo Jr., age 43 of Bryan, Ohio, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, July 14, 2025.

He was born on April 5, 1982, in Defiance, Ohio and was a 2000 graduate of Defiance High School. He was employed by Easy Living of Bryan.

Jose is survived by his parents, Jose and Maria (Santos) Castillo of Defiance, and his siblings, Angelo (Ashley) Castillo and Carmel (Crystal) Castillo, all of Defiance, half-sister Jess, nieces Raina, Gabbryel, Izabella and Malia, his nephews, Angelo Jr., Carmel Jr., Xavier and Braedyn, and many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Virginia and Carmel Castillo and Helen and Joseph Cerino, and nephews Armando Castillo and Juan Castillo.

Visitation will he held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will he at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 21 at the funeral home with Pastor Valdez officiating. Jose will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.

Monetary donations can be directed to the family to assist with expenses. Online condolences can be given at www.Schafferfh.com.
