Bobbie Helms Obituary

Bobbie Lou Helms (née Pettus), born on February 21, 1937, in Florala, Alabama, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, in Pensacola, Florida. She was the cherished daughter of Oscar Pettus and Mae Pettus (Boles).

Bobbie was the loving mother of her two children, Patricia (Keith) Andrews and Gregory (Zuleika) Mitchell. She was previously married to Robert Mitchell, the father of her children, and later to Everette Helms. Bobbie shared a close bond with her siblings; she is survived by her sister Betty and was predeceased by her sisters Pauline and Faye.

A talented artist, Bobbie expressed herself beautifully through painting. She also found joy in music, often singing and playing the guitar. Her creativity and passion for the arts were matched only by her warm personality. Those who knew Bobbie will remember her infectious smile, kindness, and sense of humor that could brighten any room.

Bobbie's life was a testament to love, resilience, and creativity. May her memory bring comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Bobbie Lou Helms
