Daniel Currie Obituary

Mr. Daniel Evans (Dec) Currie, age 66, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at his home in Crestview, Florida. He was born on November 15, 1950 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Dr. Howard F. Currie and Kathleen Doyle Currie.
Daniel was a resident of Crestview, Florida, formerly of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was a member of Joy Fellowship Church of Crestview. He graduated from Woodward Military Academy in College Park, Georgia. He had a varied work background including being employed by a land title company, as a county purchasing agent, with Sykes Concrete Company & MR & R Trucking Company, and at one time owned a small farm in northern Walton County Florida. He attended Officer Candidate School and served as a 2nd Lt. in the National Guard Army Unit in Crestview, Florida.
Mr. Currie is preceded in death by his father and mother; Dr. Howard & Kathleen Currie. Daniel is survived by his one daughter, Rachel C. Norman and husband, Matthew Norman of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; three brothers, Haynes Currie and wife Lucy of Bradenton, Florida and Michael Currie and wife, Penny of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and Patrick Currie and wife Glenda of Gainesville, Florida; and five grandchildren, Ella Kate Norman, Judah Norman, Fletcher Norman, Owen Norman, and Hobson Norman of DeFuniak Springs Florida. He also leaves behind a nephew and four nieces.
Graveside services will be held at a future date at Magnolia Cemetery in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
