Jorge Antonio Palerm-Castro

Jorge Antonio Palerm-Castro, born in Guaynabo Puerto Rico January 12, 1935, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, September 3, 2017. His passions included the church, his country, singing, fishing, playing dominos while roasting a pig, and telling bad jokes during all the above activities. He was a patriot who was very proud to serve his country in the US Air Force for 27 years; he retired as a SMSGT. He is preceded in death by his late wife Carmen Luz Palerm with whom he shared 6 children: Maria & Joel Rempfer (CA), Lourdes & Milton Lee (CA), Ana & John Leaf (CO,), Jorge & Jenifer Palerm (TX), Isabel & Gabriel Hernandez (TX), and Juan & Maria Palerm (FL). He leaves behind his wife Joanne Roper Palerm and her children: Jackie & Kim Clodfelter (SC), Jan & Bill Bivins (Myers FL), Annette & Chris Dolan (MO) and (late) Jonathan Bivins. He will be missed by his 22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends who cherished him. He will be fondly remembered, sorely missed, and forever loved. Funeral services will held Thursday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ft. Walton Beach. Family will receive friends at a visitation from 9:30-10:30am with Mass following. Interment will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery on Monday September 11, 2017 at 1:00pm with full military honors.
