Raymond Turner Obituary

Raymond Lamar Turner, age 50, of Crestview, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009. Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 5 at the House of Restoration Full Gospel Baptist Church with Pastor Steven Chatman officiating and McKinnie Funeral Home directing.

Born in Lockhart, Ala., Raymond accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior on Nov. 5, 2006. Raymond was a member of House of Restoration Full Gospel Church in Crestview.

Raymond Turner was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Williams Sr. and Ruby Ellen Turner; grandmothers, Charlotte Pearl Turner and Furilla Bell Williams; grandfathers, Will Turner and Jake Williams Sr.; brothers, Earnest Allen Turner and Walter Alto Turner; aunt, Lureatha Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his memories his stepfather, Albert Marshall Jr. of Florala; brothers, Kenneth Turner (Jay) of Tucson, Ariz., Michael (Angela) Turner of Crestview, Jake (Pam) Haynes of Oklahoma, Samuel (Stacy) Oates of Madison, Ala. and half-brother, Howard Williams Jr. of New Orleans, La.; sisters Lurleen (Jerrold) Lowery, Juanita Marshall and Lurene Tuner of Crestview; half-sisters, Betty Jean, Bonnie Jean, Syluria, Callie and Phyllis, all of Detroit, Mich.; great-aunt, Lorenza Price of Lockhart; aunts, Martha (Claude) Gibson of Virginia; Pauline (Willie L.) Carr of Florala and Jannie Mae Brooks; uncles, Willie (Carolyn) Williams of Crestview and Benny L. (Carolyn) Turner of Los Angeles, Calif.; nieces and nephews, Jarvontey, Jeneca, Vliya, Asia, Dwaun, Kenneth Jr., Chris, Vincente, Brittance, Gary, Matthew and Elizabeth; sister-in-law, Catherine of Monroe, La.; cousins, William Tanner, Betty L. Wright, Sandra Jean Bass, Ruby Mae Chatman, Margarett Jean Gibson, Janese Moore, Jacklyn Coleman, Melissa Toles, Earl Williams, Kenneth Williams, Wayne Williams, Mark Williams, Sharonda Williams, Keyonda Williams, Joyce Matthews, and Martha Blackshear; special buddy and friend Carnell James; and a host of other family and friends.
