TODD CUMMINGS Obituary

TODD CUMMINGS Todd Cummings, 60, of Grand Forks passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife and Pastor Tom Colenso by his side on Thursday, December 19, 2024, after a short but valiant battle with brain cancer. Todd Russell Cummings was born March 17, 1964, in Grand Forks, N.D., to James LeRoy and Judy (Fontaine) Cummings. He spent his entire life in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School in 1982. He was a kid from the North End where he built relationships from his Winship neighborhood that lasted his entire life. Todd married Gina Pauley Bosard on April 5, 1991. TC, as he was known to many, worked at the Golden Cue where he was manager and cook and he cultivated his passion for playing pool and made lifelong friends. Following that, he worked for several years at Nisbet Farms, followed by Bosh Enterprises, LawnKing and Sunshine Lawn Care where his work ethic and attention to detail made him a valuable asset to each. TC worked at Acme as an equipment rental associate for the last 13 years until his health prevented him from continuing, where he will be dearly missed for his wealth of knowledge, problem solving skills and talent with numbers. Todd also worked at Knights of Columbus and the Diamond where he made lasting friendships. Along with his passion for playing pool in league and on many teams for the last four decades, Todd enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at Maple Lake. Todd met his soulmate Jennifer Wolf Hanson in 2013 and they spent 11 wonderful years together. They were married at University Lutheran Church on April 27, 2024. Todd was also very proud of his 15-year sobriety. Todd is survived by his wife Jennifer Wolf Cummings; brother Troy (Kristen) Cummings; sister Lonnie Cummings all of Grand Forks; stepchildren Paige (Adam) Remde of Bloomington, Megan Hanson (Rahim Raja) of Urbana, Ill., and Grace Hanson of Grand Forks; and the light of Papa's eye, granddaughter Diana Remde; niece Haley Bruhn, and nephews Beau and Adrian Cummings; mother-in-law Sharon Wolf; the Embretson and Hixon families of Mentor, and many extended family members, and countless friends and pool family who will miss his sense of humor, friendship, kind heart, and willingness to drop everything to help someone in need. He was preceded in death by his dad Jim Cummings, mom Judy Cummings and her partner Bob Nikle, and father-in-law Robert Wolf. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Services were held Saturday at University Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Colenso officiating. He will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in East Grand Forks in the Spring of 2025.
