Alan Butcher Obituary

BUTCHER Alan R. Butcher, age 54, of Fairfield, the loving father to Laura Butcher, passed away suddenly in St. Vincent's Medical Center on November 13, 2007. A lifelong resident of Fairfield, Al was the son of the Mary Kochis Butcher, of Fairfield, and the late Alexander Butcher. In addition to his daughter, Laura, with whom he was so proud of, and his mother, he is remembered by his niece, Coleen Radin, of Fairfield, and nephew, Alan Radin, of North Providence, RI. He was also predeceased by his sister, Mary Butcher Radin. He deeply loved his family, and always made himself available to assist each of them when needed. Having achieved the status of Eagle Scout in his youth, Al graduated from Andrew Warde High School in 1971 and Bryant College in 1975, where he was a member of the Phi Sigma Nu Fraternity. He worked for many years as a reliable, safe driver for Camelot Limousine, a division of Gardella Company in Norwalk. Calling hours are on Thursday (Today) from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Bela Poznan officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery.
