Alfredo Pinto Obituary

Alfredo Pinto
Alfredo Pinto, age 82, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Maria Vitorino Pinto, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 with his loving daughter and son-in-law by his side. Born on July 2, 1935 in Esmolfe, Penalva do Castelo, Portugal, he was a son of the late Emidio Albuquerque Pinto and Laura DeJesus Pinto. A retired employee of Bridgeport Resco with over 20 years of service, he was also formerly employed by Raybestos. A very simple man, he enjoyed watching his favorite soccer team, Sporting CP at the Vasco da Gama Club, where he was one of the oldest members. He enjoyed his visits to the club with his friends, where they would share stories and laugh. But above everything in life, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, he treasured time with his family, especially his granddaughters. The unconditional love and care he gave to his family will always remain in their hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his loving and devoted daughter, Lena Lazaro and her husband Domingos of Stratford, three cherished granddaughters, Amanda, Kayla and Alyssa, brothers and sisters, Hermino Pinto and his wife Lucinda of Bridgeport, Alexandre Pinto and his wife Cecilia of Rhode Island, Luzita Lopes of Fairfield, and Olivia Lagos of Lisbon, Portugal, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Laura Albuquerque, Nazare Pinto and Micas Santos and a brother, Antonio Albuquerque. Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial.
