Ann Hanish Obituary

HANISH Ann (Hanick) Hanish, age 90 of Bridgeport, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Ann was the eldest of 11 children born in Dunmore, Pa. to the late Michael and Anna Matzak Hanish. She has been an area resident for 70 years and was an employee of General Electric for 37 years. Ann was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Her kindness and generous spirit showed in all that she did. Survivors include a brother, Joseph Hanish of Milford; three sisters, Margaret Dempkowski of Bridgeport, Madeline Bredice and her husband, Raymond of Stratford and Emma LaPro-videnza of Trumbull; and sister-in-law, Marylou Hanish of Naugatuck; as well as several nieces and nephews. Ann will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Funeral services will take place Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford and at 11 a.m. in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Trumbull with a Divine Liturgy. I have many fond memories of Ann. Sorry I cannot be their to pay my respects to her in person. Bill and I are in Florida. Mal, I will stop to see you at the store when I get back.
