Anna Siconolfi Obituary

SICONOFLI Anna Siconolfi, age 84, wife of the late Alfred Siconolfi, of Benz Street, in Ansonia, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2005, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Siconolfi was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on July 26, 1921, daughter of the late Caesar and Maria Alizieri Florio. She had lived in the Bronx, N.Y., before moving to her daughter's home in Ansonia seven years ago. When she was not spending time with her family, she enjoyed painting pictures, hairdressing, and flower arranging. She was also a volunteer at the Griffin Hospital in Derby. She is survived by a son, Francis A. Siconolfi and his wife, Jeanette, of Hartsdale, N.Y.; two daughters, Diane Frey and her husband, William, of Ansonia, with whom she made her home, and Rita Trentadue and her husband, Michael, of Germantown, Md.; two brothers, Remo Florio of Madison, and Mario Florio of Branford; cherished grandchildren, Steven Frey and his wife, Nadine, James Frey and his wife, Christine, Michael Trentadue, Jeffrey Trentadue, Paul Trentadue and his wife, Shannon, Meredith Trentadue, and Haley Siconolfi; as well as two special great-grandsons, Zachary and Colin Frey. She was predeceased by brothers, Louis and Frederick Florio. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday October 26, 2005 at 8:15 a.m. from the Spinelli-Malerba-Ricciuti, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101 or through the funeral home.
