Anthony John Caridi

CARIDI Anthony John Caridi, age 73, of Derby, entered into rest on Wednesday August 25th 2010 in his home with his loving family by his side. He is the devoted husband for 51 years to Donna Fitzsimmons Caridi. He was born in Hartford on January 25, 1937 son of the late Antonio and Maria Nuzzolo Caridi and was a life long resident of Derby. Mr. Caridi owned and operated "Where'd You Get That" Antique Store in Derby until his retirment. He was very committed to the Derby Community serving on the committee to build VARCA and being appointed for two terms to the Derby Board of Education. He also served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion and Past President of the former Derby-Shelton Lions Club. He is the beloved father of Anthony TJ Caridi and his wife Betsy, Marianne Caridi and Elizabeth Moscariello and her husband Joseph; loving grandfather of Daniel and Michael Caridi and Kelly and Joseph Moscariello. On Saturday, friends are invited to go directly to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 212 Elizabeth St. Derby. Burial with full military honors will follow in Mt.
