I will always cherish him. His bedside manner and the way he took care of me as a patient; so kind & gentle. He always listened! He was also so very talented and I loved all his art work and treasure all of it. I have a ballerina he gave me; and will treasure it now that he is gone. May he Rest In Peace knowing how much he was loved by me and will always be.

I was a patient of Anthony's for quite a few years. One day during a visit, we happened to discuss art. We shared the links to our respective web sites. He drew and painted. I am a photographer. When he viewed my work, he suggested I join the Salmagundi Club in NY and he offered to sponsor me. I took him up on it and joined. We continued to follow one another's work and he always encouraged me.He will be missed.

Anthony and Jeffrey have been friends since we were the last minute substitutes for a villa rental in Mexico 36 years ago. We became family and shared holiday/birthday parties and treasured our visits with each other in Connecticut, Fire Island, Michigan and more. Anthony was a mentor and saved my Mom's life when diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. His advice allowed us to make educated decisions and she was forever grateful to him. We were so fortunate to share extended visits and enjoy long conversations. We were able to see him at the office, as an accomplished artist at his many acclaimed showings, as a beloved friend, trusted confidant and fun companion. We loved the beach and the pool and would forever float with Anthony until Jeffrey called us in. We shared many emotions and most importantly a love for each other. You will be part of the fabric of my being and I am a better person because of you. Let alone you kept me in one piece after breaking my foot on the 4th and getting stitches in my hand from broken glass at one of our parties. The American Ballet Theatre in Detroit where we invited you and Jeffrey to a private reception with the cast. You and Jeffrey are one of our best gifts in the world and I'm so glad our dear friend Donald brought us together on that fateful trip to Acapulco. Love always, Bill and Dave

Dear Jeffrey,
I had the pleasure of being one of Dr. Santomauro's patients for over 20 years. He was gentle soul with a caring and compassionate heart. I loved his smile and I have so many fond memories of watching his face light up when we would chat about your travels together, a charcoal piece he was working on, an art show he was exhibiting at, and his beloved dogs. I am so very blessed to have known him and wish you peace until your souls meet again. With my most sincere sympathy,

To all Family and close friends sad hearing the passing of dear Dr. Santomauro. His kindness, gentle nature along with quick humor was much appreciated while in his care. Fitting his funeral Mass on the Feast Day of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Blessed Mother. Know he had a deep devotion to HER. He enjoyed sharing his Faith. If you gave him a book like the Diary of Saint Faustina, he read it. May he rest in the peace of Jesus. Good Saint Anthony be there to greet him home. Amen
