Benjamin Masliuk Obituary

Benjamin W. Masliuk
Benjamin Masliuk, age 31, of Naugatuck, passed away on December 25, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bridgeport on March 2, 1986, son of Very Rev. Stephen and Debra Ridolfi Masliuk. Benjamin also leaves behind his brother, Alex Masliuk and his partner Sandy Teixeira of Ansonia; his sister, Kristin Masliuk and her husband Manish Udas, of Colorado; and his grandfather, William Ridolfi of Naugatuck. He comes from a large family of many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him immensely. Benjamin was predeceased by his grandparents, Alexander S. and Frieda Masliuk, and Diana Ridolfi. Benjamin graduated from Naugatuck High School, Class of 2003, attended Housatonic Community College and was a proud US Navy veteran. Ben loved life and lived it to the fullest, taking a job as an over-the-road truck driver, which let him travel and see the country. Ben was a kind soul with a caring heart, always helping those less fortunate than himself. He was known to give away his last dollar to someone who needed it more. His greatest pleasure was riding his 2002 Indian Chief Motorcycle with the wind in his hair, looking for a new adventure. A Requiem Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, December 29 at 10 a.m., meeting directly at St. Mary's Ukrainian Church, 10 Oakwood St., Bridgeport. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Benjamin Masliuk to St. Vincent DePaul Mission at 34 Willow St., P.O.
